Chapter 2
An Unfortunate Demon
The little girl was crying now. Jordy loved it when they cried. He was holding the little brat by her arm about three feet off the ground. He was a level one demon and was always scorned by others. He bullied humans because he knew that they couldn't fight back. He was apelike in appearance and had tiny horns sprouting from his head. Red fur covered his five foot tall body.
He shook the girl and got more tears for his efforts. He laughed again. Picking on humans always made him feel better. Glad I'm not as weak as this human child he thought gleefully. He shook her again then decided to begin taking her apar

The White Knights
"We have a level three wind-class demon attacking," a voice over the intercom yelled, "All knights above the rank of page are to report to the front gate in order to defend."
There was a commotion as squires, knights, Arch knights, and magicians all tried to get to the destination. Pages, excited children, and worried adults all flocked to the windows to see the demon that threatened their way of life.
It was very rare indeed that a demon would ever try and attack the headquarters. When they did they were either suicidal or overconfident. Sometimes they were both.
This demon was a level three on the dan

The Dream
The sky boiled and writhed like a creature in pain. Rain was pouring down in a shower all across the sky. The ground was already waist deep in water. Animals scrambled to get to higher grounds as the water level rose. Bolts of lightning flashed across the sky to frame a tall obsidian tower at the heart of the storm.
The tower was jagged and had spikes jutting out of it at all angles. Shadow Spiders and Soul Wraiths could be seen climbing or flying around it along with many other Dark Demons. At the top of the tower there was a flat platform that was ringed with claw-like structures. A strange eye glowed at the center

History Lesson
The library was massive. The room itself was eight stories tall and was the size of a football field. Books of every size and age lined the massive walls. Ladders were propped against some of the shelves so that access to the books up high wasn't impossible. A staircase wound around the room to the top of it, where a platform was hovering. Some books actually lifted themselves off of the shelves and start flapping around like birds.
Alexandra beheld all of this the moment she walked into the room. "Wow," she muttered. A flying book nudged the back of her head and flapped around. She ducked and grabbed it. The boo

Training
The sound of clanging blades rang across the courtyard as Alexandra neared the training fields. She had been instructed to go here as soon as her history lesson was over. Apparently they needed to know what kind of fighting style she was and what weapon type she had a feel for.
The training grounds were almost as large as the library. Instead of being tall it was long with rows of stone bleachers lining the sides of the field. Training equipment such as dummies, targets, obstacle courses and other unidentifiable things were scattered all over the field. The bleachers had people strewn all over them as they watched peop

Remember
"Alexandra honey come back here." A woman with blond shoulder length hair, deep blue eyes and wearing a spring jacket with jeans called to a small three year old girl who had the same shining gold hair. The little girl looked back at her mother and smiled. "Yes mommy," she said. She skipped back to her mother and took her outstretched hand. She was wearing a pink jacket and a pair of small jeans.
"You should know better than to run ahead," her mom said frowning. Alexandra wasn't paying attention. Instead she was looking at a raven sitting perched in the tree above. It was staring intently back at her when her mother go
